Captain Frank Bovasso III has been fishing the waters of New Jersey for over 40 years. Captain Frank started fishing and crabbing as a young boy at his Aunt and Uncle's house on the Manasquan River. As he grew up, fishing became his passion and he learned from the areas best anglers.....Bottom fishing from his cousins Ed and John, Beach Fishing and Trolling from Captain Jim Freda, Bass fishing from the late Joe Nunziotto and Sharking, and Offshore skills were learned from his mentor and teacher, the late Captain Vic Galgano.
Captain Frank has fished from the Great Lakes all the way to the Florida Keys and makes it a point to learn "how the locals do it". All he has learned he brings to the deck of the 26' Mako, the Predator II. He is also on the Pro Staff of "Canyon Reels", "Tony Maja Products", "South Chatham Tackle", and "Jersey Tackle".
Captain Frank is registered with the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, a member of the American Professional Captain's Association, a supporter of the American Littoral Society (which we voluntarily tag fish for), and participates in the National Marine Fisheries Service Shark Tagging Program. He is also a Certified Training Instructor for The Future Fisherman Foundation, and has also completed the New Jersey D.E.P.'s "Hooked on Fishing, not on Drugs" training program. We are also a member of the "The Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association".
What is unique to our charter business is we like to take experienced, as well as novice anglers out and we especially cater to Family Fishing Trips to teach young children how to fish and promote conservation.
